NOTE: Before mid summer 2003 we will finally have the only TRUE bottom line bill computer
that allows you to enter as many variables as you desire from your current or anticipated bill(s)
and see the actual bill cost under each of the low cost provider's plans. It will take less than 2 minutes to have all this info in front of you for your
perusal. Check back in a few days to see how your bill would look from a database of hundreds of plans.
Comparing rates can be a very tricky proposition. It is easy to make a comparison table
appear to detail just about anything you want it to. Most sites or consultants which
publish comparisons of the various services try to furnish a per minute rate independent
of usage or calling patterns. This guarantees an unrealistic ordering of the different
plans because this method simply doesn't take into account the monthly charges, government and
local phone fees, minimum usage requirements, taxes and other charges. Even when attempting
to adjust the per minute rate by using percentages to offset the effect these have, the
end result will NEVER be a true picture of what YOU will pay.
The only way to fairly compare services is to figure an actual bill for a specific calling
pattern and number of minutes. The "Big 3" long distance providers don't want a fair comparison
to be easy because their services are NEVER the cheapest. You can't spend millions of
dollars on TV and print advertising, satisfy thousands of stockholders,
finance large bureaucratic employment structures, AND provide the best value for the end
customer. The methods they employ to confuse the consumer include hidden charges, minimum
usage requirements, "fine-print" conditions, monthly service charges, multiple rate
periods, promotional rates, or other gimmicks.
The "Big 3" continue
to stick to variable rates and misleading advertising such as quoting 2.5¢ rates
while quickly flashing fine-print that details a $25 minimum charge and a limit on the
number of minutes, or using statements such as a nickel rate everyday but NOT all day.
Many people only see the basic rate quoted and don't realize the devil is in the details.
What is really ironic is that even if you make ALL your calls late at night or only
on weekends you STILL won't get the cheapest rate available using one of these "Big 3" plans.
You must look at the true bottom line for your calling pattern.
The best way to get a true and accurate picture of the cheapest plan for you is to submit
your bill for analysis. A combination of services is almost always required to pay the least
for your total bill. We will figure this for you free of
charge if you fax, mail, post, or otherwise send us your bill. If you want to do your
own research, you can consult our comparison tables for the most accurate picture of
your own bill available anywhere. We take into account all the charges your bill will
reflect and arrive at a true per minute rate for a given calling pattern and number
of minutes of monthly usage.
We invite you to take a look at our tables and see for yourself what you will really
be paying. We have not seen any other site which accurately depicts these rates.
They often reflect an inherent bias based upon what kind of commissions they are making.
One popular site always has the same plan at the top of its tables even though they are
clearly not the cheapest. This plan is one of the worst as far as the techniques it
uses on both its customers and it sales agents. It utilizes promotional gimmicks to lure
you into signing up as a customer, and a pyramiding matrix and high commission structure
to entice its agents. Complaints about billing errors and poor customer service are
also common with several of these providers.
Fortunately, at the present time, the best overall services are also the cheapest. You can
find a description of the best plans under each type of service, including comments
about availability and "fine-print" details that will affect any legitimate
comparison. First use our Custom Rate Computer
to determine which plans are available on your phone line. All the details of each
plan are given. You can then go to the rate tables
and compare your calling patterns to the posted bills and see which one of the plans
available on your phone line furnishes the cheapest overall charges. Before mid summer 2003
we will finally have the completed bottom line bill computer that actually tells you
the real cost of any of the low cost provider's bills for YOU with figures you provide from
your own bill. In less than 2 minutes you can see exactly how your bill would look
under each plan. NO MORE GUESSING!!
The general method used on the comparison tables is based on first determining the best plan
for your interstate calls and using this to help determine how to choose your intrastate and/or
international provider(s) for the lowest total bill. This may not necessarily reflect the
absolute minimum bill, if almost all of your calling is instate or out of the country. You may
use the data from the pages dedicated to each type of service, but if you have an unusual
combination of call types or a high rate of calls to one country, the only truly effective
method to use for determining the cheapest bill is personal analysis of your bill. This is
the best technique to use on any bill, but it is critical for a very unique calling pattern. Don't
hesitate to fax us your bill, or at
least request a return call for a personal analysis using the form below.
You may send a request for information or order any of our plans by simply filling out
the form below. We can contact you by E-mail if you desire, although
we actually prefer to speak to you directly at your convenience.
We don't ask for any personal information over the Internet so just leave your name,
phone number and the best time to call, or leave only your name and E-mail
address if you don't want a return call. Leave any message you may have in the
text box at the bottom and press the submit button. You are not signing
up for any plan by filling out this form, nor are you obligated to accept anything
if we call.
You may also contact us by a variety of other methods, including a direct Net Phone
call (or voice-mail) over the Internet, an alphanumeric page, call us directly toll-free at
one of the numbers below, or fax us your bill for free analysis. You will almost
definitely get diverted to a voice-mail system during business hours as we REFUSE to
make people wait on hold for more than a minute. We will call you back at your
convenience at any time you specify if we can't take your call immediately.
